man, what a month! it's been....

 crazy / chaotic / beautiful / freeing / stretching / hard / wonderful / life changing / and more!

we are still not on the YWAM base. nevertheless, 12 students and 4 kids arrived almost two weeks ago for the start of our Discipleship Training School. we've been in and out of host homes, a house of prayer, and a beautiful lakehouse. we're looking into a more longer term (until outreach, or until the base becomes available) place to stay starting next week. i've been in the same place the whole time, though, staying with a lovely older women named Carol. we're all learning to be extremely flexible, and it has been such a blessed time of really getting to know each other.

my moments with God have been so profound this month. i am experiencing new revelations of who He is, who i am in Him, and how much freedom He wants me/us to walk in. my head feels clearer, heart feels lighter, and more ready than ever to get out and love others. it's incredible! i'm building wonderful new friendships, and i am absolutely loving having the students around to get to know and pour into. it brings back all the memories of my DTS, and i am so excited for them - knowing this missions experience is so life changing! 

i've been going downtown the last two thursdays for a local outreach, and it has been incredible! every thursday we go downtown in austin to an area in town with a lot of prostitution (which is so often forced/trafficking... something we usually don't realize!) homelessness, and just precious people that we want to get to know and love on. we've been making food for the ladies and just spending time with them. today our team closed in prayer and a few of the ladies hung around and prayed with us. we were standing in a circle, holding hands, different races, different backgrounds and life stories, all united, and one of the ladies prayed "Thank you for these people that acknowledge us, that include us".... is that not powerful?!  we aren't doing much, simply making some food and spending time with them, but to that lady, it was us acknowledging and including them, not writing them off because of what part of town they are from, who they are, whatever. how many people feel this way [un-acknowledged] and what can each of us do in our lives to reach out? just something that is on my mind and heart now.

i'm also beginning my work with the anti trafficking ministry here - my heart is so alive!

prayer requests right now would be...

- that whatever God's will is with the base, it will happen

- more ministry opportunities

- protection, physical and spiritual

- financial provision
